Electronic Exhaust Valve Controller II-ORIGINAL

New-generation high-performance vehicles boast exceptional combustion efficiency and power, but high-speed cruising and intense driving often bring excessive exhaust temperatures and cooling challenges. The Shadow Electronic Exhaust Valve Controller II-ORIGINAL connects directly to the stock valve and offers four modes: ON, OFF, AUTO, and ORIGINAL. It is perfectly compatible whether or not the vehicle has a factory sports exhaust system.

Full Replacement Control

Designed for vehicles with factory electronic exhaust valves from BENZ, BMW, VAG (Audi, Volkswagen), Porsche, and others, the controller can replace the factory system and synchronize single and dual valve control — a seamless upgrade without compromising operation. While retaining the original hardware, you control exhaust sound dynamics at your command. Compared to analog-signal controllers, it features a 32-bit MCU processor and Bluetooth 4.2 chip with pulse transmission technology, ensuring faster, more precise signal control while preventing surge-noise interference.

Three Ways to Switch Modes

Modes can be switched directly via the control box, mobile app, or remote control.

Three Ways to Switch Modes

Auto Mode: Superior to Factory Sports Exhaust (CANBUS Vehicles)

For high-performance models like Benz AMG, BMW M, Audi RS, and Volkswagen R series, factory electronic valves often lack a dedicated switch and are linked to Sport+/Race modes, making timing and valve opening hard to manage. Through its companion app, the controller lets you customize valve opening conditions and timing: maintain exhaust backpressure at low boost/RPM/speed to retain low-end torque and reduce noise; when preset conditions are met, the valve automatically opens for optimized exhaust flow at high boost/RPM/speed, enhancing performance and heat dissipation. By connecting to the ECU via OBD2, you can set automatic valve operation to your preference.

Manual Mode

No restrictions — switch freely between ON and OFF using the app, remote control, or control box.

Anti-Interference Module for Stable Connectivity

To help drivers stay focused on the road, the design retains a dedicated remote control with an innovative structure combining different materials — an aluminum alloy frame with silicone buttons for a premium tactile feel. This visualizes valve operation and enhances product quality; the valve status and operation mode can be identified via the color of the main unit's indicator light.

Core Functions

Switch exhaust valve state directly via remote or mobile app (ON full open / OFF full close / NOR factory-linked), independent of driving mode.

Which model do I need — E-VALVE2 or X-FLAP?

X-FLAP is for vehicles with a factory (OEM) electronic exhaust valve — it plugs straight into the original connector. E-VALVE2 covers aftermarket electronic valve setups and OEM valves (Mercedes-Benz / BMW / VW / Audi), with manual and AUTO control. Check the vehicle search on this site, or ask us at info@autojaw.com.

What do the ON / OFF / NOR modes do? (X-FLAP)

ON holds the valve fully open, OFF holds it fully closed, and NOR hands control back to the factory system so the car manages valve timing itself. In ON or OFF, X-FLAP takes priority; switch to NOR and the factory ECU is fully back in charge.

How does AUTO mode decide when to open the valve? (E-VALVE2)

AUTO opens and closes the valve based on RPM, speed, or boost — one condition at a time, with trigger values set in the app.

Will it trigger warning lights or fault codes?

No wiring is cut, and the built-in decode module keeps the ECU receiving normal signals — so no DTCs are triggered and the vehicle's existing systems keep working as usual.

Does it affect the factory warranty?

Both models are plug-and-play with no harness modification — remove them anytime and no trace is left. If you'd rather be safe, unplug before a dealer visit.

My car has two valves. Can one controller handle both?

Yes. X-FLAP: factory dual-valve cars use the dual-valve part number; cars converted from single to dual add a 1-to-2 splitter harness. E-VALVE2: power and signal lines can be split to drive both valves in sync.

How do I connect the app?

Each model has its own app — X-FLAP requires iOS 17+ / Android 5+, and the Bluetooth device shows as "X-FLAP_OTA" or "Exhaust". First-time pairing password is 1111; after that it reconnects on its own. The app doesn't need to stay connected — once you switch modes, the valve holds its state even if the connection drops.

Will it drain the battery?

X-FLAP draws power through the OEM connector and goes to sleep when the ECU does — no standby consumption. E-VALVE2 runs off ACC power, which cuts with the ignition.

Is OFF mode safe for cold starts in winter?

Fully closed is fine for cold starts at low RPM. For high-RPM or heavy-load driving, switch to ON or NOR — prolonged full-close under heavy load is best avoided.

Can I adjust the valve opening angle?

Not currently — the valve is either fully open or fully closed. Partial-opening modes are planned for a future update.
